What does Scania ABS fault code 38 mean?

Short circuit in the wheel circuit on the right-hand side of the front axle.

What causes Scania DTC 38?

Internal short-circuit in the wiring to the wheel speed sensor.

How does the system react?

ABS, TC and hill hold function cease to function, if applicable. The warning lamp comes on.

How to fix Scania ABS fault code 38?

  1. Check the wheel speed sensor and its cabling.
  2. The resistance between the wheel speed sensor pins must be 1,000-1,300 ohms.
