What does Scania ACC fault code 25 mean?
The air conditioning (AC) is not working efficiently.
What causes Scania DTC 25?
Fault in the A/C compressor. Fault in wiring or harness-to-component connector for CAN communication or a fault in the unit which controls the A/C compressor. The pressure in the A/C system is too low or too high. There may be a leak in the system.
How does the system react?
The system continues to control the AC as if there was no fault. The system switches to temperature control without AC. The recirculation damper is set in the fresh air position.
How to fix Scania ACC fault code 25?
- Check whether any AC-related fault codes are set in the coordinator.
- Check whether any AC-related fault codes are set in the engine control unit (EMS).
- Check that the pressure switch/pressure sensor and its wiring is intact.
- Check that CAN communication for the ACC control unit, the coordinator and the engine control unit is working.
- This ensures that they can communicate with each other.
- Make sure that the compressor wiring is intact.
- Check that the A/C compressor electromagnetic clutch is intact.
- Check the belt and coupling coil and check that the rotor and pulley have the correct spacing.
- Refer to Multi 18-75 for the work method.
- Check that the condenser is intact.
- Check that the evaporator temperature sensor and air temperature sensor are correctly installed.
- Test pressurise the A/C system.
- If no other fault is found, renew the A/C compressor.
