What does Scania CMS fault code 531 mean?
The starter battery relay (R105) is short-circuited to ground.
What causes Scania DTC 531?
The fault may be due to: - Fault in the cable harness or harness-to-component connectors. - Fault in starter battery relay.
What are the symptoms?
The starter battery will not be connected upon engine start or receive charge.
How to fix Scania CMS fault code 531?
- Check: Cable harness and connections to the starter battery relay (located in the battery box).
- The starter battery relay is connected to the CMS control unit pins A33 (signal) and A31 (ground).
- Starter battery relay (R105).
