What does Scania DAS fault code 867 mean?
The driver assistance system has identified divergent information from the distance sensor (DIS).
What causes Scania DTC 867?
The fault may be due to: - The distance sensor has not undergone spare parts programming for the vehicle or is not calibrated. - The driver assistance system control unit has not undergone spare parts programming for the vehicle. - Internal fault in the distance sensor. - The distance sensor is not connected to the CAN bus. - The distance sensor is obscured.
How does the system react?
Adaptive cruise control and emergency brake functions are not working.
How to fix Scania DAS fault code 867?
- Check the fault codes for the distance sensor.
- If the fault codes cannot be read:
- Check the CAN connection to the distance sensor.
- Check the distance sensor supply voltage.
- Measure the resistance between the control unit pin for the CAN bus CAN High and CAN Low with the battery disconnected.
- Resistance should be around 60 ohms.
- (Due to the two termination resistors connected in parallel.)
- Measure the resistance between the control unit pin for CAN high of the CAN bus and voltage with the battery disconnected.
- Resistance should be in the order of Megaohms.
- Measure the resistance between the control unit pin for CAN low of the CAN bus and ground with the battery disconnected.
- Resistance should be in the order of Megaohms.
- Disconnect one ECU unit at a time from the CAN bus concerned to see whether the fault disappears.
