What does Scania EMD fault code 264 mean?

What causes Scania DTC 264?

- Fault in the charge air pressure sensor harness-to-component connectors and cable harness. - Fault in the charge air pressure sensor.

How does the system react?

The fault affects the engine's nitrous oxide emissions. Depending on the emission class, this may result in torque reduction, speed limitation and a warning indication.

How to fix Scania EMD fault code 264?

  1. Check the charge air pressure sensor harness-to-component connectors and cable harness.
  2. Check the charge air pressure sensor.
  3. Applies only to vehicles with Euro 5: If the operating time since the fault code was generated exceeds 10 hours, drain the EGR cooler as there is a risk that condensed water will form in the air-cooled EGR cooler when the EGR system has been switched off.
  4. Drain the EGR cooler according to the instructions in the Workshop Manual, subgroup 01-65.
