What causes Scania DTC 4133?

- Fault in NOx sensor T115. - The NOx sensor is not fitted correctly.

How does the system react?

The fault affects the engine's nitrous oxide emissions. Depending on the emission class, it will result in torque reduction, speed limitation and a warning indication. NOTE: If the NOx sensor is subsequently fitted outside of the exhaust stream, the applicable legislation cannot be observed.

How to fix Scania EME fault code 4133?

  1. Check NOx sensor T115 downstream of the catalytic converter
  2. Check via NOx sensor T115 that the NOx content changes during throttle actuation.
  3. If the NOx sensor indicates a static value, check that the NOx sensor is fitted correctly.
  4. If no other faults are found, renew the NOx sensor.
  5. Verification Verify that the fault is rectified by running Exhaust gas aftertreatment, function test SCR.
  6. Select test stage Checking the NOx sensor.
  7. Check that the fault code has been deactivated.
  8. Clear the fault code.
