What does Scania EME fault code 585 mean?
Short circuit to battery or ground or open circuit.
What causes Scania DTC 585?
- Fault in the wastegate valve harness-to-component connectors or cable harness. - Fault in the wastegate valve.
How does the system react?
A yellow warning indication is displayed.
What are the symptoms?
As a result of the fault, the wastegate valve stops working. This could lead to poorer performance for the turbocharger and the engine overspeed protection.
How to fix Scania EME fault code 585?
- Check the wastegate valve and its harness-to-component connectors and cable harness.
- Measure the resistance across the wastegate valve.
- Renew the wastegate valve.
