The fault results in the wastegate valve opening completely, which may result in impaired turbocharger performance.

How to fix Scania EMO fault code 583?

  1. Check the wastegate valve and its harness-to-component connectors and cable harness.
  2. Measure the resistance across the wastegate valve.
  3. Renew the wastegate valve.
