What does Scania EMO fault code 537 mean?
The engine speed has been above the permitted level.
What causes Scania DTC 537?
- Incorrect handling, e.g. incorrect downshifting. - Oil of fuel leak in the intake system of in the cylinders.
How does the system react?
Fuel injection (engine) is cut off when engine speed is too high and remains off until engine speed is normal. The engine then resume operating normally unless there is damage.
How to fix Scania EMO fault code 537?
If there is a problem with the engine, check that there are no oil or fuel leaks in the inlet system.
