What does Scania EMO fault code 519 mean?

Permanent open circuit detected on the injector coil(s) or the cabling to the injector(s). Faults detected only when engine is running.

What causes Scania DTC 519?

Cables or injector connected to cylinder 7 malfunction. Probably the cable(s) or the coil(s) is broken.

How does the system react?

The system will continuously try to use the injectors regardless of malfunction. Gas engine: Torque is limited

How to fix Scania EMO fault code 519?

  1. XPI engine: Disconnect connectors on the ECU and cables on the coil to the faulty injector(s).
  2. Measure resistance over coil; should be around 0.2 - 0.4 O.
  3. Check the cabling attachment to the ECU connector and through the cylinder head.
  4. Measure resistance between both ends of the high and low side of cables respectively (coil and ECU disconnected); there should be almost 0.0 O.
  5. Gas engine -Check injector for electrical fault -Check wiring -Replace injector After repair, restart engine to remove DTC
