What does Scania EMO fault code 664 mean?
The oil temperature is higher than expected.
What causes Scania DTC 664?
- Fault in the oil level sensor T110. - Fault in the oil thermostat.
How does the system react?
Too high an oil temperature results in torque reduction. The torque reduction increases incrementally when the oil temperature increases. When the torque reduction becomes noticeable, information about too high an engine temperature is displayed in the instrument cluster.
How to fix Scania EMO fault code 664?
- Check whether the oil level sensor T110 is displaying plausible temperature values.
- Renew the oil thermostat.
- Verification Verify that the fault has been rectified by putting a heavy load on the engine.
