What does Scania EMS fault code 105 mean?
The values from the charge air pressure sensor and the atmospheric pressure sensor do not agree. The atmospheric pressure sensor indicates a higher value than the charge air pressure sensor.
What causes Scania DTC 105?
Possible causes: - When temperatures are low, there is a risk of ice forming in the pressure sensors. - Fault in the charge air pressure sensor harness-to-component connectors or cable harness. - The charge air pressure sensor is defective or blocked. - Fault in the atmospheric pressure sensor.
How to fix Scania EMS fault code 105?
- Ice may have formed in the pressure sensors if temperatures have been low.
- Make sure the pressure sensors have had time to thaw before further action is taken.
- Compare the values from the charge air pressure sensor and the atmospheric pressure sensor when the engine is switched off and the starter key is in the drive position.
- The sensors should show values that correspond to the current atmospheric pressure.
- If there is a fault in the charge air pressure sensor, check the charge air pressure sensor, harness-to-component connectors and cable harness.
- If the values still deviate, renew the charge air pressure sensor and compare the values again.
- If there is a fault in the atmospheric pressure sensor, renew coordinator E30.
- To check that the fault has been rectified:
- Make sure the engine is warmed up.
- Turn the starter key to drive mode.
- Wait for a few seconds.
- The fault code should become inactive immediately.
