What does Scania EMS fault code 107 mean?
The charge air pressure sensor and exhaust gas pressure sensor values do not agree. The charge air pressure sensor indicates a higher value than the exhaust gas pressure sensor.
What causes Scania DTC 107?
Possible causes: - When temperatures are low, there is a risk of ice forming in the pressure sensors. - The charge air pressure sensor is defective or blocked. - Fault in the charge air pressure sensor harness-to-component connectors and cable harness. - Fault in the exhaust gas pressure sensor. - The pipe of the exhaust gas pressure sensor is blocked. - Fault in the exhaust gas pressure sensor harness-to-component connectors and cable harness.
How to fix Scania EMS fault code 107?
- Ice may have formed in the pressure sensors if temperatures have been low.
- Make sure the pressure sensors have had time to thaw before further action is taken.
- Compare the values from the charge air pressure sensor and the exhaust gas pressure sensor when the engine is switched off and the starter key is in the drive position.
- The sensors should show values that correspond to the current atmospheric pressure.
- Check the sensor that seems defective along with its harness-to-component connectors and cable harness.
- If the value continues to deviate, renew the sensor.
- To check that the fault has been rectified:
- Make sure the engine is warmed up.
- Turn the starter key to drive mode.
- Wait for a few seconds.
- The fault code should become inactive immediately.
