The fault may be due to: - The EGR valve position sensor is incorrectly fitted. - Fault on valve block V107. - Fault in the pneumatic cylinder.

How to fix Scania EMS fault code 1159?

  1. If there are other fault codes related to the EGR valve position sensor, troubleshoot according to these.
  2. Check that the cylinder moves freely between its end positions.
  3. Check that the EGR valve position sensor is correctly fitted.
  4. Check the air flow from the valve block.
  5. Check if there are any electrical faults.
  6. After any action, run EMS > E44 > S7 > Calibration > Basic setting and calibration of the EGR system.
