What causes Scania DTC 1152?

Open circuit in the harness-to-component connectors or cable harness. Fault in the solenoid valve in the fan.

How does the system react?

If the fan is electrically driven, it rotates at high speed. If the fan is hydraulically driven, it stops.

How to fix Scania EMS fault code 1152?

  1. Check the harness-to-component connectors and cable harness.
  2. Check the fan solenoid valve.

Internal fault in the engine control unit.

Symptoms

- Fan running at full power. - Fuel consumption increases.

How to fix

  1. Check the cable harness and harness-to-harness connector to the fan speed sensor and solenoid valve.
  2. Renew fan speed sensor and solenoid valve.
  3. If the fault code persists, renew the engine control unit.
