What does Scania EMS fault code 1619 mean?
The throttle valve reference voltage is too high.
What causes Scania DTC 1619?
Short circuit to battery voltage in throttle valve or battery voltage too high.
How does the system react?
The engine stops or enters fail-safe mode. The engine's torque is reduced to protect the engine.
How to fix Scania EMS fault code 1619?
- Check the component, harness-to-harness connectors and electrical cables.
- Renew the throttle.
Variant 2: Throttle actuator, high electric power consumption

Detection
The control unit interprets that the throttle actuator has excess current.
Possible cause
- Cable harness or harness-to-component connector has excess current. - The actuator has excess current.
How to fix
- Check the actuator cable harness and harness-to-component connectors.
- Renew the actuator.
