What does Scania EST fault code 546 mean?
The fault code is activated when the CAN message from the piston position sensor is implausible or incorrect.
What causes Scania DTC 546?
Internal fault in the piston position sensor.
How to fix Scania EST fault code 546?
- Check the CAN communication with the piston position sensor.
- Renew the piston position sensor harness-to-component connector.
- Check that the piston position sensor is working by turning the steering wheel from lock to lock.
- If the fault has been rectified, the fault code is activated.
