- Fault in the button panel cable harness. - The buttons in the steering wheel button panel are defective.

One or more buttons in the steering wheel button panel is inoperative.

How to fix Scania ICL fault code 513?

  1. Check the cable harness.
  2. Renew the buttons in the button panel.

Detection

Output PWM1 (external instrument panel lighting) for the instrument cluster is short-circuited to ground. The instrument cluster indicates that the current consumption is greater than 2 A.

Possible cause

Short circuit to ground in cable harness. Too many consumers, i.e. LEDs, are connected to the cable harness. Together these consumers consume more than 1.5 A.

System reaction

The power supply is off. Once the fault has been rectified and the ignition switched off and on, the power supply can be reactivated.

How to fix

  1. Remove some of the consumers from the cable harness.
  2. Check the cable harness.
