What does Scania ACC fault code 1 mean?

The air distribution motor does not change position.

What causes Scania DTC 1?

The control signal or the output signal from the air distribution motor has been exposed to undesirable positive voltage or an undesirable short circuit to earth, or there is a break in the circuit.

How does the system react?

The driver can detect the fault by noticing that the air blows through the incorrect outlet nozzle and that the air direction cannot be changed via the switch.

How to fix Scania ACC fault code 1?

  1. Check the status of the air distribution motor using SDP3.
  2. For further information, go to the Check tab and search for Fault code information.
  3. Check the air distribution motor cable harness and harness-to-component connector.
  4. Check that the air distribution motor and position circuit breaker are fitted correctly.
  5. Remove the air distribution motor and try to manually move the air distribution motor cam disc.
  6. Check that nothing is blocking the damper.
  7. If necessary, renew the air distribution motor.
  8. Clear the fault codes in the ACC control unit.
