What does Scania ACC fault code 7 mean?
No signal from remote control for auxiliary heater (CT/CT-R) when the auxiliary heater attempts to start or the signal from the remote control does not cease when the auxiliary heater attempts to turn off.
What causes Scania DTC 7?
Fault in wiring or harness-to-component connector for the remote control (CT/CT-R), or the remote control is defective.
How does the system react?
When the auxiliary heater attempts to start, but fails, the symbol for the heater goes out and normal temperature control continues as long as the starter key remains in the drive position. When the heater attempts to shut off, but fails, the symbol for the auxiliary heater comes on and the heater's control function continues.
How to fix Scania ACC fault code 7?
- Check the wiring and harness-to-component connectors.
- Check the remote control for the auxiliary heater (CT/CT-R).
- Check the auxiliary heater.
- Clear the fault codes in the ACC control unit.
