What does Scania ACC fault code 2 mean?
Incorrect signal from the position switch on the damper housing.
What causes Scania DTC 2?
The air distribution motor cam disc or position switch is sticking or loose. Fault in the cable harness to the position switch. The input signal to the position switch has been exposed to undesirable positive voltage or short circuited due to undesirable grounding, or the circuit is broken.
How does the system react?
The driver can detect the fault by noticing that the air comes out of the wrong nozzle in relation to the switch position.
How to fix Scania ACC fault code 2?
- Check the position circuit breaker using SDP3.
- Check the wiring and the position circuit breaker connector.
- Check that the position circuit breaker and air distribution motor are fitted correctly.
- Remove the air distribution motor and manually check that the cam disc can be moved.
- If it does not move, check that nothing is blocking the damper.
- Check whether the position circuit breaker is stuck.
- If necessary, renew the position switch.
- Clear the fault codes in the ACC control unit.
