What does Scania AUS fault code 2 mean?

Short circuit to ground.

What causes Scania DTC 2?

- Fault in harness-to-component connector. - Fault in cable harness. - Fault in antenna U26.

What are the symptoms?

The electronic control unit cannot receive signals from the antenna. No playback or very poor playback from the AM/FM radio.

How to fix Scania AUS fault code 2?

  1. Note: Fault codes related to the antenna can only be activated and deactivated if the battery voltage to the infotainment system is above 12.6 V.
  2. Disconnect the AM/FM antenna cable harness (white contact housing) from the antenna (U26).
  3. Turn the voltage off and on and reconnect the vehicle connection.
  4. Check whether any new circuit break fault codes occur.
  5. If this is the case, the fault is probably on the antenna.
  6. Disconnect the antenna.
  7. Leave the antenna cable harness connected to the switched-on electronic control unit.
  8. Measure between earth and signal on the cable harness.
  9. The measurement result should be between 8 and 16 V.
  10. Check for any short circuiting on the rest of the cable harness between the antenna and the electronic control unit as described in step 2.
  11. Check that the control unit has the latest software.
