What does Scania ACC fault code 11 mean?

The evaporator temperature sensor value is outside its limits.

What causes Scania DTC 11?

Fault in the wiring or harness-to-component connector for the evaporator temperature sensor. Fault in the wiring or harness-to-component connector for the air temperature sensor. The evaporator temperature sensor is defective. The air temperature sensor is defective. The evaporator temperature sensor is loose. The air temperature sensor is loose.

How does the system react?

The A/C function is limited or blocked to avoid the compressor freezing. The system cannot cool the cab with required effect.

How to fix Scania ACC fault code 11?

  1. Use SDP3 to check the values from the evaporator temperature sensor, air temperature sensor and cab temperature sensor.
  2. Cab temperature can be read from the instrument cluster.
  3. If the values do not correspond, check the wiring and connectors on the temperature sensor which shows the incorrect value.
  4. If necessary, renew the temperature sensor which shows the incorrect value.
  5. Clear the fault codes in the ACC control unit.
