What does Scania ACC fault code 14 mean?

The value from the sun sensor is outside its limits. Short circuit to battery.

What causes Scania DTC 14?

The sun sensor has been exposed to undesirable positive voltages or is short circuited due to undesirable grounding, or the circuit is broken. Fault in the wiring or harness-to-component connector for the sun sensor. The sun sensor is defective. The sun sensor is loose.

How does the system react?

The sun sensor is not active in the system, providing a warmer feeling when the sun is shining.

How to fix Scania ACC fault code 14?

  1. Use SDP3 to check the value from the sun sensor.
  2. Check the wiring and the sun sensor harness-to-component connector.
  3. If necessary, renew the sun sensor.
  4. Clear the fault codes in the ACC control unit.
