What does Scania CUV fault code 1 mean?

The current consumption on the control unit output has exceeded 6A.

What causes Scania DTC 1?

Short circuit in the relay for current consuming equipment R19 or in the cable harness.

How does the system react?

Right-hand main beam is inoperative. Every time the function is activated, the current consumption on the control unit output is checked. If the current consumption is too high, the output is switched off and a fault code is registered. Right dipped beam will come on as replacement lighting. If a fault is detected in the main beam circuit (right main beam), dipped beam will be switched on instead. The lights adjustment motor will then adjust the headlamp downwards as far as it will go due to internal connection between the dipped beam and the lights adjustment motor.

How to fix Scania CUV fault code 1?

  1. Check the bulbs.
  2. Also, check the number of connected lamps in circuit.
  3. Check whether there is a short circuit to earth.
