What does Scania BMU fault code 564 mean?
Electrical fault in the RES sub data bus.
What causes Scania DTC 564?
- Fault on the CAN bus connection. - No voltage supply. - Short circuit between CAN cables. - Short circuit of CAN cable to ground.
How does the system react?
The vehicle’s 24 V system stops charging. Risk of VOR. Cooling of the batteries stops. This can result in limited battery power.
How to fix Scania BMU fault code 564?
- Check the cable harness and harness-to-component connectors for the RES sub data bus.
- Warning!
- Renewing the IBU is electrical work and must only be carried out by authorised personnel.
- Make the vehicle safe according to Procedures for all electrical work on hybrid vehicles.
- Renew defective components.
- Renew the IBU if the propulsion battery is the source of the fault.
- When renewing IBU, run Calibrating propulsion battery information.
