What does Scania DCU fault code 524 mean?
The door control unit has detected that the VIN code in the memory does not correspond with the VIN code on the vehicle.
What causes Scania DTC 524?
- The door control unit is installed in a vehicle for which it has not been configured. - Failed spare part programming of the door control unit.
How does the system react?
- The affected door control unit sends a message to the main body system (MBS). - An error message in the instrument cluster indicates which door is affected.
What are the symptoms?
The door function is stopped.

- Spare parts program the door control unit for the vehicle and the door where it is installed.
