What causes Scania DTC 385?

- Fault in the fuel temperature sensor cable harness or harness-to-component connectors. - Fault in ambient temperature sensor or coolant temperature sensor. - Fault in the fuel temperature sensor.

How to fix Scania EMD fault code 385?

  1. Run Safety precautions for the fuel system.
  2. Check the fuel temperature sensor cable harness and harness-to-component connectors.
  3. Check that the ambient temperature sensor is indicating a plausible value.
  4. Check that the coolant temperature sensor is indicating a plausible value.
  5. Renew the fuel temperature sensor.
  6. Verification Wait until the coolant temperature and the ambient temperature are the same.
  7. Do not start the engine during this time.
  8. Then check whether the fault code is deactivated.
