What does Scania LAS fault code 64 mean?
The remote control is not synchronised with the alarm control unit.
What causes Scania DTC 64?
The remote control buttons have been pressed many times without the alarm control unit registering this, as the remote control has been outside its range.
How does the system react?
The alarm cannot be activated or deactivated using the remote control. The remote control has a separate counter (in addition to a separate sender identification code, TIC). Each time a button on the remote control is depressed, the counter's value in the remote control is changed. If the alarm control unit (the receiver) is within the remote control's range, the counter value in the alarm control unit is also changed. Otherwise the remote control and the alarm control unit are not synchronised. If the units have values which differ too greatly, the remote control is not synchronised and is not immediately identified by the alarm control unit.
How to fix Scania LAS fault code 64?

- Use Scania Programmer to read information about the remote control from the alarm control unit.
- 2.
- Check that there is no 15 supply to the alarm control unit.
- 3.
- Press any button on the remote control four times to synchronise the remote control with the alarm control unit.
- Note that if a button on the remote control is pressed more than 9 times, there is a risk of the system locking for one hour as a safety precaution.

- Use another remote control which is programmed into the alarm control unit.
