What does Scania TMS fault code 282 mean?
The clutch actuator has an internal fault, which is shown by an incorrect rotation direction.
What causes Scania DTC 282?
Incorrect rotational speed sensor in the electric motor (loose magnet).
How does the system react?
- A yellow warning indication is displayed. - If the vehicle is stationary when the fault occurs: neutral position is activated, which prevents the vehicle from being driven further. - If the vehicle is driving when the fault occurs: the gear continues in locked position. Neutral (N) is activated when the vehicle slows to a stop. This prevents the vehicle from being driven further.
How to fix Scania TMS fault code 282?
- Check the connectors and cable harness.
- Renew the clutch actuator.
