What does Scania TMS fault code 280 mean?
The clutch actuator has an internal fault which is indicated via CAN message to the gearbox control unit.
What causes Scania DTC 280?
- Fault in the electronic measurement signal for the linear position sensor. - The magnet for the pushrod position sensor has been moved or come loose.
How does the system react?
- A yellow warning indication is displayed. - If the vehicle is stationary when the fault occurs: neutral position is activated, which prevents the vehicle from being driven further. - If the vehicle is driving when the fault occurs: the gear continues in locked position. Neutral (N) is activated when the vehicle slows to a stop. This prevents the vehicle from being driven further.
How to fix Scania TMS fault code 280?
- Check the connectors and cable harness.
- Renew the clutch actuator.
