What does Scania EBS fault code 23830 mean?

The voltage has been lower than permissible, below 0.3 V.

What causes Scania DTC 23830?

- Damaged cable harness. - Faulty trailer control module. - Faulty control unit.

How does the system react?

The yellow warning lamp comes on and the electronically controlled user functions for the trailer are switched off.

How to fix Scania EBS fault code 23830?

  1. Clear the fault code.
  2. Check the connections and cable harness between the control unit and the trailer control module.
  3. Disconnect connector D from the control unit and measure the voltage on the control unit.
  4. Between pin A12 and pin D1: 4.5 – 5.5 V.
  5. Between pin A12 and pin D3: 0 V
  6. Between pin A12 and pin D2: 0 V
  7. If no fault is detected in the cable harness or the connections and the supply is correct, the fault is in the trailer control module.
