What does Scania EMU fault code 4097 mean?

The control unit states an implausibly high voltage, which indicates an open circuit.

What causes Scania DTC 4097?

- Fault in cable harness or connector. - Fault in the temperature sensor. - Fault in control unit E159.

How does the system react?

- A yellow warning indication is displayed. - Heater B H40 is switched off. - Valve V238 will not open. - The system cools more than usual so as not to risk overheating in the batteries. The fan will run a lot and this can affect the vehicle range.

What are the symptoms?

Can lead to performance issues in cold climates.

How to fix Scania EMU fault code 4097?

  1. Check the temperature sensor, connectors and cable harness.
  2. Replace the temperature sensor, cable harness or harness-to-component connector to the sensor.
  3. Replace control unit E159.
