Fault in the control unit memory.
What causes Scania DTC 512?
- Internal fault in the control unit. - The control unit has been exposed to electromagnetic radiation.
What are the symptoms?
Fault codes related to missing CAN communication may be activated in other control units.
How to fix Scania EST fault code 512?
- Bear in mind that the fault code may be activated by electromagnetic disturbance from radar apparatus or transformers.
- Check that no disruptive equipment is connected to the vehicle electrical system.
- Check whether there are any software updates for the system.
- If the fault persists, renew the control unit.
