What does Scania ABS fault code 17 mean?

Low signal strength from the wheel on the left-hand side of the front axle.

What causes Scania DTC 17?

The distance between the wheel speed sensor and the pulse ring is too large.

How does the system react?

ABS, TC and hill hold function cease to function, if applicable. The warning lamp comes on.

How to fix Scania ABS fault code 17?

  1. Check the wheel bearing play and make sure the pulse ring is not damaged.
  2. Adjust the wheel speed sensor.
  3. The distance to the pulse ring must not exceed 0.7mm.
