What does Scania MBS fault code 515 mean?
The memory for the configurations is not reliable.
What causes Scania DTC 515?
- Electromagnetic radiation interrupts function. - Fault in the control unit software.
How does the system react?
The main body system (MBS) performs a reset of the control unit's software.
What are the symptoms?
When the main body system is restarted, some buttons and the ceiling lighting stop working.
How to fix Scania MBS fault code 515?
- If the fault code is activated occasionally, no action is needed.
- If the fault code is generated repeatedly: check if the vehicle has any auxiliary equipment connected that is not provided by Scania.
- Disconnect any auxiliary equiment, one item at a time, to see if one of these is the cause of the fault.
- Renew the control unit if the fault persists.
